Orientation

What is PHP?

The Partial Hospitalization Program at Impact Minds is our highest level of outpatient care.

It is designed for individuals who need more structure, safety, and stability than outpatient therapy or IOP, but who do not require inpatient hospitalization. PHP provides a consistent, intensive daytime schedule that helps stabilize the nervous system, reduce overwhelm, and establish predictable rhythms that support recovery.

This level of care is appropriate when daily responsibilities begin to feel unmanageable, emotions are difficult to regulate, or when someone is transitioning from a higher level of care and still needs reliable, structured support to maintain progress.

At Impact Minds, PHP is intentionally designed to do more than offer support. It is built to create clarity.

Each day includes therapy, movement-based regulation, sensory immersive group experiences, and emotional skill development. Together, these elements help simplify the pressures of life so individuals can think more clearly, make grounded decisions, and handle stress more effectively.

PHP at Impact Minds is not about pushing harder. It is about creating the conditions where recovery, consistency, and resilience can take hold.

We work with a wide range of insurance providers and help clarify
coverage and next steps so starting care feels manageable and clear.

When PHP is the Right Level of Care

PHP is designed for moments when more structure is needed to restore stability and forward momentum.

This level of care is often the right fit when weekly therapy or IOP no longer provides enough support to manage daily life effectively.

PHP may be appropriate when:

Choosing PHP is not a setback. It is a strategic step designed to meet the nervous system where it is and provide enough consistency for stability, clarity, and confidence to return.

Differentiation

What Makes Impact Minds Different

Impact Minds approaches PHP using a clear, structured framework designed to reduce overwhelm, restore stability, and help progress hold over time.

All care is guided by four foundational pillars, applied intentionally and in order.

Acceleration

Acceleration helps progress build more efficiently by supporting the conditions that allow skills to take hold. It does not replace effort or practice. It helps effort work better.

Stability

We slow things down and create predictable daily structure so the nervous system can feel safe enough to reset.

Capacity

We support the body and brain through rest, nourishment, movement, and coordinated care so individuals have the energy required to regulate, engage, and recover.

Control

We teach practical tools that help individuals stay grounded and manage emotions during difficult moments, not just understand them.

Ownership

We build confidence through responsibility, consistency, and follow-through so independence grows over time.

Innovation

Why Immersive Group Therapy Works

In PHP, group therapy is not simply conversation in a shared room.

Impact Minds is the only clinic in Arizona offering sensory immersive group experiences as part of standard PHP programming. These spaces are inspired by large-scale immersive art experiences, where walls become living visual environments. All walls act as projectors, surrounding participants with carefully curated visuals, story, sound, and light.

Facilitators guide meaningful therapeutic narratives while cinematic visuals and music shape the emotional environment. This approach increases engagement, strengthens emotional connection, and helps participants internalize concepts more deeply.

Body Regulation

The Movement Lab

When the body is overwhelmed, thinking clearly becomes difficult.

The Movement Lab is integrated into PHP to support nervous system regulation, energy restoration, and emotional steadiness through intentional, guided movement.

Release Tension

How the body stores stress and how to release it through intentional posture and presence.

Build Momentum

How movement improves clarity, confidence, and follow-through in daily life.

A Day in PHP

PHP follows a predictable, supportive rhythm designed to reduce overwhelm while maximizing engagement and progress.

The program runs five days per week, approximately five hours per day, providing enough structure to stabilize the system while still allowing individuals to return home each evening.

Sustaining Progress

Support for Families

Families are essential to long-term progress.

Impact Minds places a strong emphasis on family involvement to ensure individuals are not returning to the same environments and patterns that contributed to overwhelm. Impact Minds places a strong emphasis on family involvement to ensure individuals are supported in an optimal environment with new patterns to adapt to.

Communication

Reduce recurring conflict cycles and improve shared understanding.

Consistency

Strengthen consistency and daily routines to maintain momentum.

A supported family system helps maintain momentum and reduces the risk of regression after PHP.

Your next step can start
with a conversation.

Starting care does not require certainty. Questions are welcome, and clarity comes before commitment.
