Structure Replaces Willpower (Until It Returns)

People with attention difficulties are often told to try harder. Most of them have been trying harder for years.
Willpower is not a fixed character trait. It rises and falls with sleep, stress, nutrition, and brain chemistry. On a depleted day, there simply is less of it to spend.
So we build structure around the person first: predictable schedules, visible plans, fewer decisions to make from scratch. The structure carries the load that willpower cannot carry yet.
As capacity comes back, the person takes more of that structure on themselves. The goal was never dependence. It was a bridge.
